In the last 9 1/2 months, but especially in the last 2 weeks, our lives have changed drastically! With the addition of our awesome son, Luke, on January 16, our world has turned upside down – in a good way. I decided to get back to blogging to share my thoughts of being a mom in this crazy world in which we live, share our adventures and experiences in parenthood (seriously, there have already been some really funny ones in 10 days), show pictures to our friends and family who actually care (do all of my social media friends really need to see 12398 pictures of my adorable son, and really, do I want my acquaintances from middle school to know about Luke’s first bath?), and continue to share my thoughts on Scripture, family, faith, and current issues.
While I am stoked to be a stay at home mom (I already love the one-on-one time I get with my son on a daily basis) I know for my sanity I need to keep talking, discussing, questioning and listening about faith. Blogging is one way for me to do that. I’m not quite sure how interested people will be in what I have to say, and in fact, people might not be interested at all, and that’s okay. My identity is not found in that, as I realized the last couple years (possible future blog post alert). So, stay tuned, and thanks for joining in on our adventures!
